"With that I can't agree." he said. "I'd much rather be with you than alone."

She whispered, "with that I'm sure is agreeable, being in your company is better then being alone. It's way better then being alone, and with most people."

"Katy I'll be right back." She gave her a quick peck on the cheek.

"Chris!" She walked towards him.

"From what I've heard with you being with most people isn't that different from being alone." Chris looked up as Eliza called his name. "Hey El."

"True" she smiled. "Hi" she said to Eliza.

"Hey. I'm Eliza." Eliza grinned at the girl.

"Eliza." Keighton snapped from the chair.

"Not now Katy. I'll be right there." She led them farther away from the chair.

She smiled. This might be interesting.

"Sorry about before, Eliza. Keighton gets on everyone's nerves though." Chris said, smiling apologetically.

LaLa felt kind of third-wheel-ish. Part of a conversation that started earlier. She just listened.

"Yeah. I know. But she was like the only one who liked me when I came."

"If you were a year younger, that would have been different."

LaLa looked at them. Then she looked at her book on the coffee table. She sat down and read it.

"Anyway, why'd you come over here?" Chris asked Eliza. He sat down beside Lalaine.

LaLaine watched the conversation.

LaLa watched the boy carefully wondering why he looked so comfort-less.

Keighton snickered and then laughed at the boy.

Eliza blushed "Well. I-uh. Never mind." She stood up to leave.

Chris rolled his eyes before reaching out to grab Eliza's wrist. "Stay. Answer the question."

Eliza stopped "It's Keighton. She thinks she owns me. And well I don't really like it sometimes."

He grinned. "I'm glad you haven't completely given in to her."

Eliza smiled "Thanks. I try hard not to."

"You don't have to be her puppet, you know. There are other people to be friends with."

Eliza shrugged "She's nice when she wants to be."

"Does she ever want to be, though?"

Eliza laughed "Yeah. Sometimes."
