Alexa walked into biology-she must have been early because the classroom was practically empty. She sat down in the middle near the door and pulled out a book.

Ryan slipped into her first class. Un-noticed as usual.

She sat in the seat diagonally from the darker toned girl and pulled out her drawing book. There was her favorite piece. It contained swirls and lines but in vibrant colors.

Alexa watched as a girl in front of her began drawing a pattern of swirls and lines. "You're good at that." she mused.

Ryan grinned "Thanks." Her accent came out and she blushed.

Alexa caught the accent. "You're not from here are you?"

"Ah. No. Britain actually. My parents don't love me." Ryan grinned

"How unfortunate." Alexa laughed. "This place kind of sucks. Although La Push isn't bad."

"La Push? I live on the outskirts. I'm trying different schools in the area."

"Ah. Well, I live there, but I chose to go to school here. Against the will of most of my family."

Ryan frowned "Why?"

She frowned. "My cousin."

"Oh?" Ryan frowned. "I don't get it."

"I used to go to the La Push school. My brother still does, and most of my friends. But it reminds me of my cousin, who died last year. So I transferred." She explained.

"Oh. I'm sorry." Ryan flushed

Alexa shrugged it off. "It's fine. I've been asked a million times." She remembered her first day here. Most of the school was vampires, which made it a bit of an unpleasant environment for anyone associated with werewolves.

"I'm still sorry. Does anything weird ever happen?"

Alexa looked slightly alarmed. "What do you mean?"

"well. you know. places have like weird stuff usually..."

"There's some pretty weird stuff here, yeah." Alexa said, avoiding details.

"Ah. I see."

The bell rang just as Alexa was about to reply. Lunch period.

Ryan frowned.

"Lunch? Already? Wow." She grinned

Alexa smiled. "Time flies."

"I see. Where to now?"
